jury duty

i got a letter in the mail today. . and i have to go. i know it's my duty as a citizen, but i'm so not looking forward to it. . i have to make arrangements for my kiddos, i sub on Weds, i have other things to do. . it's just so inconvenient. it's a murder case. . ick! a couple of months ago shane and i were both randomly chosen to fill out a survey regarding the case and our opinions about the death penalty, etc. . today we both got a letter from the court. . mine says they liked my opinions, and i need to plan on attending. . shane's wasn't accepted. . he got out of it. . not fair!! i guess i should have had a stronger opinion on the death penalty. . dang!
the boys' SEP conferences were today. . i couldn't go to riley's because mrs. ward got sick, but rusty and bryant are both doing very well in school. i worry about them sometimes, and if we're doing enough at home to help them along, but reports are that they are doing fine. . bryant is doing well over fine. . i think he must be at the top of the class. . kindergarten. i have awesome kids!!
i discovered the music on streampad yesterday. . it's pretty cool. . i think i need to add it to my phone so i can listen to it when i'm running. . if i ever get back to running. . which reminds me, i HAVE to start doing something to tone up my body. . i've booked us on the Disney cruise for Feb 6, and shane and i got invited to go on a Mexican Baja cruise for Oct 19. . that will be AMAZing. . we're going with awesome, awesome people. . i can't wait!! now i've got to get a plan going to work on that body thing. . i hope i have enough time. . only seven months!!
