A baseball tournament in Montpelier this weekend. . with AWESOME results!
R & R's 12u team won first place in their division! They played six games in three days and won five of them. . including the championship game. These boys are a real TEAM. They know how to read each other, they work hard together, and when the workin' is done, they can really play hard together. What a great group of boys to have my boys associate with. Almost all of them have played together since they were eight. They have developed some pretty strong relationships and learned some great lessons along the way.
The coaches are pretty awesome. . they make sure that the boys recognize mistakes and help them get corrected while at the same time giving the boys the space they need to be able to learn. The coaches put in a lot of time practicing and playing with the boys, they are encouraging and patient even when they're frustrated, and they give ALL of the boys a pretty fair and equal opportunity to do what they want to do. That's what makes a great team. . when you are allowed to learn, but know you have great support when needed! Awesome job boys. . we're looking forward to many great performances from all of you!
