{St. George baseball/vacation}

We had a baseball tournament this week (a welcome change in temperature), and my brother & his family happened to decide to come from Mississippi the exact same week. He wanted to come and make sure that mom was okay after the recent tragedy in her life. I think it has been really hard for him to be so far away from her when he knows she is hurting. Since my mom was already planning to go with us, Justin decided that his family would have fun in St. George, and we talked my sister into joining us too. What a great idea that turned out to be!

This is the first ever vacation that we have all taken together. Usually when Justin's family comes, they stay here in town and try to visit everyone around here. Once in a while my mom or one of our families will go to where they live and visit. (I'm still planning to visit Mississippi/Tennessee while they live there) But we have never all planned to go somewhere else to vacation together. It was a chance for Justin's kids to feel like they really WERE on vacation, not just visiting Utah.

The kids had so much fun swimming in the pool and hangin' out together. They all get along really well. It was great for us adults to catch up too. Why haven't we done something like this before now? I feel so much better acquainted with everyone.

This worked out well for Chelsi's family too. Her family was able to find a hotel in St. George, and they all got to visit their Grandpa who lives there before they had to go back to Mississippi.

Thanks everybody for such a good time! We look forward to the next one. . we MUST make this a tradition! Where should we vacation next??
