We had the annual Cubs end-of-year party.
Good food.. awards.. thanks to coaches.. mother/son baseball game.
A couple of little surprises at the end of this year: The head coach and his son are moving on to other opportunities next year and won't be around as much AND at least three of the boys will be cut from the team. Fifteen boys on a team is just too many to try and get experience on the field. These boys have all developed friendships with one another. A bittersweet ending to the year.
A lot of the boys play football this fall, but we like to play Fall Baseball. We're just going to focus on that for now. Stay tuned to see what happens for next year...
