The month of Sept is the Laurels turn to be in charge of the combined activities in mutual. So we decided to play Fear Factor, but turn it into Faith Factor. We had a lot of fun playing and watching the Young Men & Young Women do the challenges.
The youth and leaders were split into three teams. Our "Host", Jed would ask a question about the gospel, and the team that could give the correct answer the quickest got ten points. The other two teams had to do a challenge, and the winner got five points.
Some of the challenges included cleaning out a pie tin full of whip cream with hands behind their backs, folding an origami mouse, putting a 25-piece puzzle together, singing a hymn while chewing several pieces of bubble gum, identifying five mystery foods while blindfolded, finishing a jar of baby food, and much more.
It was a fun night, and at the end we served a scoop of ice cream with dirt (crushed oreos) and a gummy worm on top. I hope the youth and other leaders had as much fun participating as I did watching!
