poor girl.

M woke up this morning with a rash covering her body. she stayed home from school yesterday because she had a sore throat and runny nose, and last night before bed she was fevered and not feeling well. when i seen her this morning i noticed the rash on her cheeks and hands. i looked in her throat and. . nasty!! there are big white sores all over her throat, and she has canker sores on her lips. i thought for sure she couldn't have strep because she just finished amoxicillin on Monday. so i took her into the doctor, and he had her tested for strep AND mono. both tests came back negative, but he gave her a prescription for a different antibiotic to see if it would help. he thinks everything may just be caused from a virus. what the???? i feel like my house must not be clean enough. i have seriously been the queen of clorox wipes, lysol, and washing my hands. i literally was scrubbing the bathroom floors and walls Monday morning at 3 am. B had gotten sick in the night, and when he didn't make it to the toilet to throw up, it splattered all over the walls. what a mess! i didn't have a choice, though. i knew that if i let it wait until morning it would just be that much harder to clean up. so i got him settled down and back in bed, then threw the rugs in the washer and started scrubbing. i was actually back in bed by 4:10, but it took me a while to get back to sleep. all of these illnesses must be coming home from school. every week it's something different. if i could just get these youngest two to keep their hands clean and out of their mouths! in the last month, i have had kids staying home two or three days a week. M has missed atleast one day of school a week for the last four weeks. 'tis the season, hu??

You are killing all the bacteria in your house from being so OCD about cleanliness. So when your kids touch anything that might be remotely germy, their body freaks out. You should let your kids play in the dirt, lick sidewalks, etc. Then see what happens..

Just kidding. I feel so sad for her. Poor thing!

OMG!! Poor girl! I am going to warn my kids to stay away from the Newman's!! Just kidding. I am sorry! There is nothing worse than having sick kids.... they just keep passing it back and forth! Let me know if you need anything!?
