The boys had all their gear packed up and left early Monday morning headed for Scout Camp. Their Scout Master is really great and plans a lot of good activities for the boys. They usually pass off many things to earn several Merit Badges. Our troop hasn't gone to an "organized" camp for at least the last three years. The Scout Master just has things planned out well enough that our troop can do its own thing and actually earn more merit badges.
My boys always have a great time and so much to talk about when they get back home. I try not to miss them too much the whole week they're gone, but I sure do look forward to Friday when its family night and we can go up and see them at camp. They fix dinner for everybody and have a little awards ceremony where we get to hear fun stories about all the boys from throughout the week. Riley is currently the Deacon's Quorum President and was in charge at camp during the week. While we were there on Friday night he was great at using his leadership skills.
Thank you to awesome scout leaders, volunteers, and dads for spending the week helping my boys develop life skills!
